Biography – Gabrielle Mead

MEd (Hons), Grad Dip Special Education, Dip Teach.

Gabrielle has been working in the Australian Education sector for more than 40 years. Her classroom experience in behaviour and special education spans Infant, K-12 and includes program development and diversified curriculum.

Her particular expertise lies in the design and implementation of behaviour support plans. Recently she has been teaching units in Cert 3 and Cert 4 on providing person centred behaviour support.

Gabrielle’s commitment to positive educational practises has led her work to target parent-school-community relations in order to ensure long-lasting collaboration throughout a student’s school life.

She has developed NESA accredited teacher training in communication skills to increase engagement and avoid the escalation of challenging behaviours.
